Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a dedicated Child Exploitation and MACE Co-ordinator to join the Adolescent Services team. The role focuses on safeguarding vulnerable children by coordinating Multi-Agency Child Exploitation arrangements, analysing data, and supporting partners to reduce harm.

You will chair meetings, provide specialist guidance, and help shape innovative contextual safeguarding approaches while working with social care, police, health and education colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex safeguarding or multi‑agency processes.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of child exploitation and contextual safeguarding, plus digital literacy.
• Ability to work with professionals at all levels and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day Multi-Agency Child Exploitation (MACE) processes with partner agencies.
• Analyse safeguarding information to identify risks, trends and required actions.
• Chair and support multi‑agency meetings; track actions to completion.
• Provide expert advice on child exploitation and contextual safeguarding.
• Develop systems and reports to support safeguarding activity and service improvement.
• Collaborate with children, families and partners to improve outcomes.
