Job summary

Equans is looking for a Senior M&E Technician to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital, London. This is a full time role with participation in an agreed emergency on call rota and a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role involves maintaining boiler plant and associated equipment, completing planned and reactive maintenance, and potentially deputising for the M&E Supervisor. A strong maintenance background and willingness to work overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline with City and Guilds/BTEC or equivalent.
• Holder of an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate.
• 3–5 years experience after completing apprenticeship or training.
• Skilled in planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance and boiler plant maintenance.
• Able to deputise for the M&E Supervisor when required.
• Willing to participate in overtime and the on-call rota.
• Committed to maintaining current qualifications and safe working practices.
• Customer focused and able to complete maintenance records accurately.
• Supportive of staff development and company policies and equalities requirements.

Who are you?

• Qualified in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline with a City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent qualification
• Holder of a 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
• Experienced in the relevant trade, with three to five years of experience after completing an apprenticeship or recognised training programme
• Skilled in planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance, installation works and boiler plant maintenance
• Able to support the organisation of trade staff and deputise for the M&E Supervisor when required
• Willing to participate in overtime and the emergency on call rota
• Committed to maintaining current qualifications, trade knowledge and safe working practices
• Customer focused, reliable and able to complete maintenance records and other paperwork accurately
• Supportive of staff development, company policies, quality standards and equalities requirements
