Job summary

Equans is seeking a Senior M&E Technician to join the team at North Middlesex University Hospital, London. This full-time role includes participation in an agreed emergency on-call rota, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will maintain boiler plant and equipment, perform planned, scheduled, and reactive maintenance, and assist in organising trade staff, deputising for the M&E Supervisor when needed. A strong commitment to safety and accurate record-keeping is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline with a City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent qualification.
• Holder of a 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate.
• Three to five years of experience after completing apprenticeship or training programme.
• Skilled in planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance, boiler plant maintenance.

Responsibilities

Who are you?

• Qualified in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline with a City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent qualification

• Experienced in the relevant trade, with three to five years of experience after completing an apprenticeship or recognised training programme
• Skilled in planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance, installation works and boiler plant maintenance
• Able to support the organisation of trade staff and deputise for the M&E Supervisor when required
• Willing to participate in overtime and the emergency on call rota
• Committed to maintaining current qualifications, trade knowledge and safe working practices
• Customer focused, reliable and able to complete maintenance records and other paperwork accurately
• Supportive of staff development, company policies, quality standards and equalities requirements
