Job summary

BGIS is seeking a site-based engineer to manage daily operations of critical building systems in a London facility. You will supervise the on-site team, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is carried out safely and efficiently.

The role covers 6am–6pm continental shift patterns, fault finding on air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems, and strict adherence to site procedures and documentation in Maximo and the CMMS.

Qualifications

• Experience with M&E plant and building management
• Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Strong safety and documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled PPM on M&E plant and respond to reactive tasks.
• Supervise sub-contractors on site and manage safety compliance.
• Operate Permit to Work system per BGIS and client rules.
• Maintain plant in serviceable order and manage spare parts.
• Ensure documentation, tickets, and CAFM updates are completed.
• Monitor environmental conditions via BMS and report incidents.
