Job summary

CMR is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Planner to join our hybrid London-based team. The successful candidate will bring extensive planning and project controls expertise to support expansion across the UK.

The role requires strong knowledge of NEC contracts, MEP sequencing, and robust stakeholder collaboration. In this dynamic, award-winning consultancy, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects, develop realistic schedule estimates, and work with cost and risk teams to ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years planning experience on construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical sequencing.
• Experience managing NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4), including Compensation Events and delay analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience working on major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge MEP schedules from the contractor.
• Develop the schedule estimates for construction works ensuring they are robust, realistic and practicable.
• Define the Basis of Estimate for the construction schedule scope (including key assumptions and exclusions).
• Close integration with both the Cost and Risk Management teams to ensure alignment of all estimates and assumptions.
• Work with the Risk team to support the QSRA process.
• Identify and manage key internal and external interfaces including procurement, consents, dependent projects, etc.
• Work closely with key internal/external stakeholders ensuring buy-in to the project schedule.
• Ensure schedule estimates are validated using benchmark data and design information (BIM) where available.
