Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and construction business for a Mechanical and Electrical Planner. You will develop, maintain and monitor M&E programmes from initiation through to completion, coordinating with project teams to ensure work aligns with overall construction schedules.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to identify delays early, producing regular progress reports and maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical planning.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical construction activities.
• Experience working on complex construction or engineering projects.
• Strong programme management and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor M&E project programmes.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical activities with the overall construction programme.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to keep projects on programme.
• Provide regular progress updates and progress reports.
• Attend progress and planning meetings as required.
• Assist with short-term and look-ahead programmes.
• Maintain accurate programme records and documentation.
• Identify programme risks, constraints and opportunities.
