Job summary

Bridge Recruitment in the South East London / Kent area seeks an experienced M&E Contracts Manager for an immediate start to oversee a portfolio of mechanical and electrical maintenance contracts. The role is client-facing and focuses on operational and commercial performance across multiple sites.

You will manage engineers, subcontractors and customer relationships, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing M&E or building services maintenance contracts.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
• Experience managing engineers and subcontractors.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and contract profitability understanding.
• Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance environments.
• Strong health and safety awareness in building services.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of mechanical and electrical maintenance contracts.
• Oversee PPM, reactive maintenance and additional works.
• Manage mobile engineers and specialist subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor contract budgets, costs, margins and profitability.
• Review engineer reports and progress remedial works.
• Support quotations and identify opportunities for additional works.
• Ensure contractual KPIs and service levels are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance.
• Act as a senior point of escalation for operational issues.
• Support new contract mobilisation and site onboarding.
• Work with internal scheduling, finance and operations teams.
