Citi is seeking a Senior Low Latency Software Engineer - Equities Execution in London. The role focuses on designing and delivering a next-generation low-latency execution platform, including SOR, Dark Pool, and high-throughput data processing. You will work with traders, quants and product teams in a hybrid setup.

The position requires deep expertise in low-latency software, automation testing, and Agile methodologies, with collaboration across time zones and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in low latency Java and Rust.
• Experience in developing electronic trading platforms in a global financial setting.
• Familiarity with automated testing techniques and quality engineering practices.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of low-latency system design, concurrency and high-throughput architecture.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain low-latency electronic execution systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and clients to translate needs into features.
• Improve testing frameworks, tools and environments for reliability at scale.
• Leverage AI-powered SDLC tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Champion Agile development and CI/CD with shift-left testing.
• Build and maintain monitoring, reconciliation and recovery capabilities.
