Citi in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Equities Technology team. You will design and deliver low-latency electronic execution systems and collaborate with traders, quants, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Low latency Java and Rust.
• Strong understanding of automated testing techniques and quality engineering practices.
• Familiarity with low-latency system design, including performance optimization, concurrency, and high-throughput architecture.

Responsibilities

• Core Development: Design, development and maintenance of high-performance, low-latency electronic execution systems.
• Product Collaboration: Partner with traders, quants, and clients to translate needs into features and enhancements.
• Testing: Improve and maintain testing frameworks, tools, and environments for reliability and performance at scale.
• AI-Powered SDLC: Leverage AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Agile & CI/CD: Champion Agile development and CI/CD with shift-left testing and fast releases.
• Platform Support: Build and maintain monitoring and reconciliation solutions for trading platforms.
