Citi’s Equities Technology team seeks a Software Engineer to join the Electronic-Execution platform. You’ll design and deliver low-latency, high-throughput systems for ECN trading, including SOR, dark pool, and market data components.

You will work cross-functionally with product development, research, and QA, embracing Agile practices, with hybrid work opportunities and a competitive base salary. Citi values growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Experience with automated testing techniques and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration.
• Knowledge of regional exchange microstructure and regulatory regimes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency electronic execution systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and clients to translate needs into features and enhancements.
• Improve and maintain testing frameworks, development tools, and environments.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools across the SDLC to boost productivity and code quality.
• Champion Agile development practices and CI/CD with a focus on shift-left testing.
