Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to lead the platform level work on our hardware products. The role involves Linux and Android environment work, contributing to full product lifecycles and collaborating with hardware and mechanical teams to deliver reliable systems.

The ideal candidate has proven Linux platform bring-up experience, familiarity with Yocto/Buildroot, strong debugging skills, and the ability to work on-site at least four days a week

Qualifications

• Senior Platform Software Engineer focusing on Linux bring-up.
• Familiar with Yocto and Buildroot.
• Proficient in debugging and hardware integration.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Android experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full Linux platform bring-up including bootloader, kernel, drivers and dts.
• Build Linux root filesystem and device drivers for boards.
• Create reliable software upgrade processes.
• Write startup scripts and services.
• Design low-level drivers and communication protocols for RT systems.
• Test and debug software/hardware integration.
• Collaborate with product teams to define requirements and architecture.
• Work within an Agile environment.
