Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and deliver embedded products across markets from concept to production. You’ll work hands-on with engineers and customers, shaping architecture, implementation, testing, debugging and documentation.

The role covers C/C++ development, 16/32-bit MCUs, Ethernet/USB interfaces, and wireless standards. Strong Linux (Yocto) experience and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing embedded/real-time systems.
• Strong C/C++ with modern features.
• Experience with 16/32-bit MCUs and ARM.
• Embedded Linux exposure (Yocto/Debian).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded/real-time software in C and modern C++.
• Build software for 16/32-bit microcontrollers.
• Integrate Ethernet, USB, RS232, I2C, SPI.
• Support wireless modules: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, NFC.
• Debug, test, and improve reliability/performance.
• Produce customer-facing docs and test evidence.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and processes.
