Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Engineer - Lighting to join our South East region. You will lead the identification of asset needs and develop early solutions while ensuring compliance with asset policies and standards.

You will drive asset data collection, evaluation and documentation, coordinating with design and delivery teams to optimise value, buildability and cost, and you will ensure data integrity in the relevant systems.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of a relevant professional body.
• Degree or HND in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of asset condition assessment and degradation modelling.
• Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application on highways.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate activities to identify asset needs and develop early solutions within policy and standards.
• Drive asset data gathering, evaluation and documentation to support value management.
• Monitor delivery of early solutions and address issues with cross‑team collaboration.
• Ensure asset data and condition information is captured in relevant databases per standards.
