Join Our Team as a Senior Lifeguard at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre

GLL is currently recruiting a Senior Lifeguard to join our team at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre. As a Senior Lifeguard, you will oversee a team of lifeguards, acting as a mentor and role model, and be responsible for staff training. Senior Lifeguards pay close attention to detail to ensure the safety of our customers and the cleanliness of the pool environment.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment, requiring a hardworking and conscientious attitude. Excellent communication and social skills are essential, as you will often be the first point of contact for customers. Health and safety are paramount, so attendance at regular pool training sessions is required.

What You Need:

• A strong focus on customer service
• Passion and personality
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ideally, you will have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up-to-date training records; if not, training can be provided after passing a swim test.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise the lifeguard team
• Experience regular pool rotations
• Supervise and maintain cleanliness of the pool area
• Set up equipment
• Handle customer queries
• Support your team by preparing Studios, Gyms, or Sports Halls for activities, and contribute to the general cleaning and upkeep of the centre when not poolside.
