Job Description

As an NPLQ or NRASTC qualified Lifeguard, you will ensure the safety of children aged 5 to 17 during swimming sessions. Your responsibilities include supervising water activities, maintaining safety standards, and working closely with Swimming Teachers and staff teams.

You will be responsible for preparing areas, managing risk assessments, monitoring water conditions, and responding to incidents. Flexibility in hours is available, and this role can be combined with the Multi Sports Coach position for additional hours and experience.

Child safety is our priority. You will supervise children during breaks, oversee equipment use, record incidents, and uphold health and safety standards.

Our venues include schools, universities, and military establishments, including partnerships with the RNRMC, Annington Trust, and the Army Welfare Service. If interested in a residential role, please note this in your application.

Person Specification (flexible)

• Valid Lifeguard qualification: NPLQ or NRASTC (up-to-date certification required)
• Minimum 6 months’ Lifeguard experience
• Ability to conduct a depth test
• Passion for developing children’s water confidence
• Vibrant, resilient, team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable
