About the role

We are excited to be looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our established team on a permanent basis.

You will report to our team based in Exeter but we welcome applications from experienced Underwriters comfortable with remote work. We offer flexible working options including remote, Exeter, or Bournemouth locations. Some visits to Exeter may be required for key events and training, with expenses covered.

This role offers support and flexibility, whether you are near or far from the office.

(Please note this is a Permanent role)

About you

We seek experienced Underwriters with backgrounds in Life, Critical Illness, and Income Protection. Experience in underwriting large cases with high sums assured is highly desirable.

You should be proactive, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Building strong relationships and supporting colleagues is essential.

• Genuine passion for underwriting, with experience in Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection / Medical Underwriting
• Strategic thinking

• Completion of CII is desirable
• Experience in underwriting large cases/high sums assured is desirable
