Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking a life science systems engineering and instrumentation expert to lead next-generation PoC and diagnostics device programs in Cambridge. This senior, hands-on role requires delivering complex systems from concept through manufacture, with strong regulatory and industry standards exposure.

You will mentor junior engineers, represent the company at conferences, and collaborate across disciplines in a hybrid onsite environment with international travel when needed.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge in systems engineering for in vitro diagnostic devices.
• Experience designing systems that deliver biochemical assays and manufacturability.
• Strong communication, leadership and mentorship skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21CFR part 820 and MDR.
• Senior technical lead with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams for PoC and diagnostics products.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent the company at conferences.
• Deliver systems engineering from concept to manufacture in life sciences.
• Engage with customers and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance.
