Job summary

Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP) seeks a senior technical leader to guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality in vitro diagnostics and life science tool projects. You will act as the technical face to clients, mentor staff, and help grow the Diagnostics sector through key client engagements and conferences.

Role is full-time and hybrid, with at least three on-site days in Cambridge, UK, and travel to client sites and Raleigh, USA.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the in vitro diagnostics and life sciences market with ability to identify opportunities for CDP and clients.
• Experience designing systems that implement complex biochemical assays with balanced trade-offs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with IVDR/MDR-like regulatory contexts and high-volume manufacturing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of client projects with high technical quality; may lead projects and meet clients regularly.
• Mentor team in in vitro diagnostics and life science tools from graduates to seniors.
• Develop internal Diagnostics sector expertise and assist recruitment.
• Collaborate with client managers to nurture long-term client relationships.
• Raise sector profile by attending conferences; perform other duties as assigned.
• Support multi-site teams in UK and USA to navigate development programs.
