Job summary

The University of Bath invites applications for a Senior Library Assistant in the Document Delivery team. You will help source material not held in the library, process inter-library loans, and support digitisation workflows for teaching staff.

This part-time role (21.9 hours/week) offers exposure to a contemporary document delivery service within a leading higher education library and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience of being an effective team member.
• Attention to fine detail.
• Excellent IT skills, including the ability to learn LMS workflows and how to search a variety of resources to locate specific items of information.

Responsibilities

• Locate items held by other libraries and services and process borrowing and lending requests via our Library Management System (LMS).
• Work closely with other members of the Document Delivery team, wider library staff and the University's academic community to ensure requested material is obtained and delivered accurately and efficiently.
