Job summary

The University of Bath seeks a Senior Library Assistant (Document Delivery) to support Inter-Library Loans, Bath Copies and Library Scanning Service, ensuring efficient delivery of materials not held in the library.

You will locate items using our Library Management System, process borrowing requests, work with colleagues and the academic community, and contribute to a responsive, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• You will be a reliable and committed team member with exceptional customer service skills.
• Ideally some previous experience of working in an HE library, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to learn LMS-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Locate items held by other libraries and process borrowing and lending requests via our Library Management System (LMS).
• Work closely with Document Delivery team, wider library staff and academic community to ensure timely delivery.
• Support the delivery of digitised content from the library's print holdings where appropriate.
