Job summary

Emerald Group is seeking a Senior Liability Adjuster to join our growing team. The role involves handling complex liability cases, with a focus on service delivery across the south east and broader areas, and developing client relationships.

The position is permanent with UK remote options, requiring strong report writing, negotiation, and communication skills, and a valid UK driving licence. CII/CILA qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum A-level education or equivalent.
• Degree-level qualification advantageous.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Significant experience as a Senior/Liability Adjuster with complex case exposure.
• Strong knowledge of EL, PL, and Product Liability claims.
• Excellent report writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Claim investigation, including site visits and witness interviews.
• Assess liability, causation, quantum, and policy indemnity on a case-by-case basis.
• Produce high-quality reports with sound technical and legal reasoning.
• Manage a diverse caseload of liability claims and meet SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records using internal systems and platforms.
• Serve as a liaison for clients and stakeholders; attend meetings and case reviews.
• Support internal QA and audit processes; provide technical input and advice.

We are seeking a Senior Liability Adjuster to join our growing team. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to handle complex cases, and to play a key part in our service delivery across the south east and wider areas, with a view to also developing client relationships.

Key responsibilities including however, not limited to the following:

• Claim Investigation, conducting site visits and witness interviews to gather factual and documentary evidence.
• Assessing liability, causation, quantum, and policy indemnity on a case-by-case basis.
• Producing high-quality reports with sound technical and legal reasoning.
• Managing a diverse caseload of liability claims and ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records using internal systems and platforms.
• Client and Stakeholder Management and acting as a key liaison point for clients.
• Attending meetings and case reviews as required, offering technical input and strategic advice. Assisting with the internal QA and Audit processes.
• CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) or CILA (Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters) qualifications (or working towards them) is highly desirable but not essential.
