Position Summary

As part of Allianz Technology SE's Legal Department, you will advise our business in the UK & Ireland across all legal areas (excluding tax law and labor law). Your role involves providing business-oriented legal advice to safeguard company interests, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and support senior management on legal matters.

You will represent Allianz Technology Legal in the UK & Ireland with external partners and government authorities, and manage external law firms as needed. You will be part of the Legal Region 2 team, collaborating with lawyers across various jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to management and staff at all levels
• Monitor and address legal issues within the company
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and corporate documents
• Implement internal policies and develop risk mitigation measures
• Collaborate with the global Allianz Technology Legal community to develop practices
• Participate in cross-functional teams and conduct trainings
• Follow legislative processes nationally and internationally, advising on necessary actions
• Manage external legal counsel when applicable

Requirements

• Degree of 2:1 or above, admitted to practice law in England and Wales (preferably also in Ireland)
• 5+ years of experience as an in-house attorney or in an international law firm, focusing on commercial law; knowledge of IT law and supervisory law in insurance is a plus
• Strong understanding of the business environment and international work experience
• Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Independent working ability and trusted advisor to management
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
