Job summary

Oasis Academy Watermead in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Learning Mentor to support pupils, families and staff. You will coordinate nurture groups, breakfast clubs and after-school activities, while monitoring the academy’s behaviour policy and maintaining pupil records.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external agencies to create and implement targeted support plans. You will hold regular 1:1 sessions, run group programs like anger management and self-esteem work, and help

Qualifications

• Experience in one-on-one student support.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.
• Experience with behaviour management and pastoral work.
• Ability to use ICT tools and data for pupil tracking.
• Willingness to develop within an education setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and support nurture groups and breakfast/after-school activities.
• Monitor implementation of behaviour policy; administer rewards and sanctions.
• Maintain up-to-date pupil records and transfer information.
• Develop individual action plans/PSPs with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Provide 1:1 counselling and run groups for anger management and self-esteem.
