Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking a Stress Testing Senior Lead to join the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will drive development of the stress testing framework, lead ICAAP and climate risk analyses, and translate complex outputs into clear actionable insights for executive decision-making.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in Skipton office and 2 days remote, a salary of £90,000 per annum, and a closing date of 8 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong stress testing knowledge including PRA/BoE requirements.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end stress testing exercises.
• Ability to translate complex outputs into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills enabling complex models to be understood.

Responsibilities

• Drive the continual development and enhancement of the Group's stress testing framework and operating model.
• Produce stress testing papers and governance materials for Board and senior management.
• Identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead design of stress testing scenarios and provide independent review of results.
• Maintain stress testing policy and governance framework.
• Lead governance forums with clear agendas and robust challenge.
