Job summary

HSBC UK is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead capital management and stress testing. You will own internal and external stress-testing submissions, including PRA requirements, ensuring accuracy, audit trails and robust governance.

The role involves translating capital and stress-testing results into clear insights for senior decision-makers, presenting at Sub-ALCO and other governance forums, and working across Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Group to drive credible planning and action.

Qualifications

• Experience leading internal and external stress-testing submissions.
• Proven ability to present to senior governance forums with concise papers.
• Experience in Treasury, Risk or Finance functions.
• Understanding of capital management, liquidity and recovery planning.
• Ability to deliver timely, well-evidenced governance outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead stress-testing submissions end-to-end for HSBC UK.
• Ensure submissions are complete, timely and supported by an audit trail.
• Translate stress-testing and capital outputs into decision-useful insights.
• Present analysis and recommendations at senior forums (e.g., Sub-ALCO, FMM).
• Prepare governance papers, high-quality packs and clear explanations of drivers and movements.
• Collaborate across Treasury, Risk, Finance, the UK business and Group.
• Support capital plans, management actions, and ICAAP governance.
• Own and improve the control framework, including process design and risk assessments.
• Constructively challenge outputs while maintaining stakeholder relationships.
