Job summary

J.P. Morgan is hiring a Lead Site Reliability Engineer in London to drive the SRE transformation across global teams.

You will define the vision, build a scalable operating model, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable, secure, high-performing systems. The role supports a jobshare arrangement with part-time hours (19 hours per week) and flexible collaboration to maintain stable production for our markets platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology support, production/application support, DevOps, or infrastructure management.
• Deep knowledge of SRE/reliability engineering and production engineering transformations in a complex enterprise.
• Strong engineering background with automation and reliability solutions.
• Fluency and expertise in Python.
• Knowledge of SLOs/SLIs, incident management, postmortems, observability across metrics/logs/traces.

Responsibilities

• Defines the SRE vision, north-star outcomes, and multi-year roadmap for Production Management aligned to CIB and Global Tech priorities.
• Establishes the SRE operating model across global regions and coordinating with engineering teams.
• Coaches Production Support leads on reliability thinking and reduction of operational load.
• Builds a small core SRE team or community of practice to scale reliability improvements.
• Defines standards for service cataloging, SLO/SLI frameworks, incident response, and resiliency patterns.
• Drives service reviews with evidence-based reporting on availability, latency, MTTR/MTTD, and change failure rate.
• Champions AI adoption to reduce toil and improve response speed and quality.
• Sets direction for observability across logs/metrics/traces with instrumentation standards and golden signals.
