JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within Public Cloud Engineering – Infrastructure Platforms. You will be a core technical contributor shaping secure, scalable software solutions across multiple business functions.

The role emphasizes delivering production-grade code, guiding AI-assisted development practices, and advancing engineering excellence through shared knowledge and robust SDLC discipline. Experience with CI/CD and cloud-native architectures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Rust).
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and applicability.
• Promotes engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
