Job summary

Ardent seeks an experienced land professional to lead land rights on major infrastructure projects across the East of England, with Cambridge focus. You will provide senior technical leadership across land, legal, engineering and consenting interfaces, working with clients, landowners and multidisciplinary teams, while mentoring junior colleagues as the regional team grows.

The role offers a delivery-led environment with commercial responsibility and opportunities to shape Ardent's regional

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading land acquisition strategies on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with DCO, CPO processes.
• Strong understanding of easements, wayleaves and land rights.
• Track record of leading complex stakeholder negotiations.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external supply chains.
• Chartered status (MRICS, FAAV) preferred.
• Experience at Associate level or potential to step up.
• Background in energy, utilities or linear infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead land acquisition strategy across East of England.
• Represent Ardent on client projects and manage interfaces.
• Lead negotiations with landowners and reps.
• Secure easements, wayleaves and access rights.
• Manage complex land acquisition workstreams and risk.
• Provide advice to senior stakeholders and support bids.
• Mentor junior colleagues as the regional team grows.
• Spend time in Cambridge and London offices in early stages.
