Job summary

Ardent is recruiting a Senior Surveyor to lead complex land acquisition matters across major infrastructure projects in the East of England, based in Cambridge with early engagement in London. The role requires strong technical judgment, superb project controls and the ability to run significant workstreams with minimal supervision.

You will negotiate Heads of Terms, secure easements and leases, and coordinate with landowners, agents and advisers, helping to grow a regional team as the business

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex land acquisition matters on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to negotiate Heads of Terms and secure easements/leases.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with landowners, agents and advisers.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver complex land acquisition matters on major infrastructure projects.
• Negotiate Heads of Terms and secure easements, wayleaves, leases and land acquisitions.
• Engage directly with landowners, agents and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage DCO and CPO documentation.
• Take ownership of significant workstreams and drive them to completion.
• Build relationships with clients and professional advisers.
• Develop network across the region.
• Spend time in Cambridge and London offices during early stages.
• Support and develop junior colleagues as the regional team grows.
