Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Senior Kotlin Developer to join our UK Digital & Cloud Practice. You will lead design, development, testing and delivery of cloud-based software solutions, guiding junior engineers and collaborating across PMs, BAs and product teams.

You will work on large‑scale transformational projects in both public and private sectors, applying microservices, CI/CD, and modern software practices while engaging with emerging AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and code reviews
• Experience in design and estimation for software solutions
• Cloud experience and API design proficiency
• Hands-on coding in Kotlin (backend) and TypeScript/JS (frontend)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based software applications.
• Provide technical leadership within the team for scalable, secure solutions.
• Work within agile delivery methodologies and own product/design aspects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Version 1 and client teams.
