Chadwick Nott is seeking a Senior Knowledge Lawyer for Infrastructure in Bristol. The role, part-time and hybrid, supports a leading Projects Team with knowledge management, updates on developments, and AI tool piloting across infrastructure and projects work.

Ideal candidates are legally qualified with PQE in Projects law, strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and an interest in applying AI to enhance legal practice.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical capability in Projects law and the regulatory frameworks relevant to Infrastructure.
  • Solid post qualification experience in a relevant practice area (private practice, in house or existing knowledge role).
  • Genuine interest in how AI tools can enhance legal practice.
  • Ability to present information clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping the team updated on legal and regulatory developments.
  • Producing clear, accessible internal updates and guidance.
  • Delivering and facilitating legal training and know how sharing.
  • Identifying, evaluating and piloting AI tools relevant to Infrastructure and Projects work.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for AI capability queries and best practice.
  • Designing and delivering practical training sessions on AI tools.
  • Maintaining and expanding a high quality precedent bank.
  • Supporting fee earners in developing skills in growth areas.
  • Preparing client facing presentations, seminars and workshops.
  • Creating and driving a consistent client knowledge offering (insights, webinars, horizon scanning).
  • Responding to internal queries on Projects law and practice.
  • Leading or contributing to responses to government consultations on relevant legislation.

Senior Knowledge Lawyer – Infrastructure – Bristol (Part Time)

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Part Time
Salary: £65,000 to £85,000 FTE (dependent on experience)

A leading national practice is seeking a Senior Knowledge Lawyer to join its highly regarded Projects Team, providing dedicated knowledge support with a core focus on Infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong lawyer with experience in infrastructure projects to step into a strategic, high impact knowledge role within a market leading team.

The Projects Team advises on complex, high value matters across infrastructure, energy, project finance and construction, acting for public and private sector clients throughout the full lifecycle of major projects. The role sits within the wider PREF practice group, working closely with partners, senior knowledge lawyers and the firm's innovative Knowledge Team.

The Role

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a legally qualified professional with:

  • Strong technical capability in Projects law and the regulatory frameworks relevant to Infrastructure
  • Solid post qualification experience in a relevant practice area (private practice, in house or existing knowledge role)
  • Genuine interest in how AI tools can enhance legal practice
  • Ability to present information clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally
  • Excellent organisational skills and high levels of technical accuracy
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence working across disciplines
  • Willingness to work part time and attend the Bristol office in line with the firm's connected working policy
