We’re looking for a Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based in Minehead.
A Butlin’s resort is the home of getting stuck in, and no trip to the seaside would be complete without great food. We offer this to every guest, every time in our restaurants.
We believe that variety is the spice of life. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop our team in the Restaurants Department.
You will ensure Junior Kitchen Managers lead each shift, maintain compliance with all food safety and Health & Safety policies, place orders with our onsite warehouse, and ensure HACCP compliance.
You will communicate with the Food Development Team regarding operational challenges and develop a motivated culinary team with high standards that delivers cost-effective, quality service. You will enforce cost control, monitor waste, and collaborate with the kitchen and front of house teams to ensure smooth operations.
We seek individuals with experience managing a kitchen operation at a similar level, with a proven track record of team development in a commercial culinary environment.
You should be hardworking, reliable, proactive, and always looking for ways to improve team performance and uphold brand standards.
Energetic, enthusiastic, fun-loving, and team-oriented candidates who understand their role in enhancing the guest experience are ideal.
You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate about creating a fun, engaging atmosphere for guests and team members alike.
Typical working hours: 40 hours per week, five days over seven.
