Job summary

Entelect is seeking a Java Team Lead to guide delivery of web and mobile applications for leading organisations, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and career development.

You will foster a DevOps culture through containerisation and CI, engage across the SDLC, and lead a multidisciplinary team in designing scalable solutions.

The role combines hands-on leadership with customer-facing responsibilities, and operates under a hybrid model with regular leadership one-on-ones.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Guide and deliver world-class web and mobile applications for leading organisations in South Africa.
• Explore methods to enhance product quality through containerisation and continuous integration, fostering a streamlined DevOps culture.
• Engage in various stages of the SDLC, from system design to analysis, scoping, and estimation.
• Research innovative technologies and implement them in projects to drive innovation.
• Demonstrate maturity, motivation, and leadership in the workplace.
• Mentor and coach team members to uphold standards of excellence and accountability while helping them grow.
• Lead regular team and individual feedback through monthly one-on-ones and twice-yearly performance reviews.
• Lead your team in implementing best practices and processes.
• Build strong relationships and understand customer needs to deliver impactful solutions.
• Manage customer expectations and identify opportunities for service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with data security and industry regulations.
