Searchability® is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a remote-first team with monthly travel to Newcastle. The role supports a FinTech client, working primarily in the UK and US. Key tech: Java 8+, Spring/Spring Boot, SQL, REST, and CI/CD.

You will lead onboarding of new project teams, align on the project vision, and facilitate clear communication between client groups while driving agility and continuous learning.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

My client is a mid-size IT Consultancy going from strength to strength. They work with a diverse range of clients across Financial Services, Renewables, Healthcare. This role may require you to go through Security Clearance. Therefore, you must hold British Citizenship.

All the teamwork adhering to best in industry techniques such as TDD, CI and Paired Programming.

THE JAVA DEVELOPER ROLE:

You’ll be working on an ongoing project for a leading FinTech client, the role is based in the UK and US so the role is Remote first. However our HQ is in Newcastle and occasional team socials, and meetings will be held her. Travel can be expensed.

In this role, a senior developer you will be responsible for forming and onboarding new project teams, integrating them into the client’s organization, and ensuring a clear understanding of the project and product vision. You should be skilled at facilitating communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team, while also tracking project progress, offering timely feedback, and fostering a culture of agility and continuous learning.
