Job summary

Searchability® is seeking Java Developers to join a mid-size IT consultancy in Edinburgh, Scotland. You will work on Java, Spring/Spring Boot, SQL, REST and Agile projects for financial services clients.

Role includes forming and onboarding new project teams, facilitating communication between client groups and the project team, and ensuring progress with CI/CD practices. Security clearance is required; British citizenship is a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• Proven Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of SQL and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Form and onboard new project teams, integrating them into the client’s organisation.
• Foster effective communication between external groups and the project team, track progress and provide timely feedback.

My client is a mid-size IT Consultancy going from strength to strength. They work with a diverse range of clients across Financial Services, Renewables, Healthcare. This role will require you to go through Security Clearance. Therefore, you must hold British Citizenship.

All the teamwork adhering to best in industry techniques such as TDD, CI and Paired Programming.

THE JAVA DEVELOPER ROLE:

You’ll be joining a Financial Service client in Edinburgh.

In this role, a developer will be responsible for forming and onboarding new project teams, integrating them into the client’s organization, and ensuring a clear understanding of the project and product vision. You should be skilled at facilitating communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team, while also tracking project progress, offering timely feedback, and fostering a culture of agility and continuous learning.
