Job summary

Tesco Technology seeks skilled Software Development Engineers to drive design, development and implementation of a next-generation fulfilment platform. You will build robust, scalable Java-based applications to optimise warehouse operations and profitability across our global sites.

You will design and implement high-performance systems, collaborate with hardware and data science teams, and help evolve product in a fast-paced, DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of having done product development using agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience of building and supporting reliable and operationally robust full stack and distributed Java applications / products.
• Experience in contributing in a globally distributed software engineering team is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance Java applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Develop APIs and microservices for enterprise and third-party integration.
• Write clean, well-documented code and adhere to coding standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous improvement.
