Job summary

Tesco Price Service team is building a robust, internet-facing Java API used across Tesco’s channels. The system powers pricing and promotions for 28 million UK shoppers weekly, with plans for global reach.

Design and implement end-to-end systems, translate product requirements into clean code, and apply SOLID principles to scale our cloud-native infra on Azure and beyond. Collaboration, mentoring, and knowledge sharing are core to our culture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and building end-to-end Java-based systems.
• Experience with scalable, high-availability services in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end systems using deep JVM and Java ecosystem expertise.
• Translate product requirements into well-structured, maintainable code.
• Write test-driven features and follow TDD/BDD cycles.
