Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for a fully remote, UK-based contract role. The position focuses on building a greenfield iGaming platform for a major global organization, delivering scalable Java services and high-throughput systems.

You will contribute to architectures, work across the full SDLC, and shape engineering practices while operating outside IR35 on an initial six-month engagement with a daily rate of up to £500.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java in production environments.
• Experience with iGaming, online betting or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable, high-throughput services.
• Experience with APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Commitment to clean code and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Java applications and services.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the greenfield platform.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from design to production.
• Build highly available and scalable services capable of operating at scale.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to engineering standards and automated testing.
• Support rapid growth of the engineering team and platform design.
