Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a 6-month contract (likely extension) with a UK remote arrangement. You will join a government organisation, working in an Agile, cross-functional delivery team to build cloud-native applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, React, Next.js, OpenShift, PostgreSQL and AWS.

• Experience delivering Java 17/21 applications with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Strong background in microservices, React/Next.js and OpenShift cloud platforms.
• Proficient in CI/CD, QA automation and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Java apps using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Design scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Build modern front-end with React/Next.js and TypeScript.
• Deliver cloud-native apps in OpenShift and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement security with Spring Security and OAuth 2.0.
• Develop event-driven solutions using RabbitMQ.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Create reusable UI components and contribute to design systems.
