Version 1 is seeking an experienced Java Developer in the UK to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications. You will utilize AWS services to deploy cloud-based solutions, optimize SQL databases, and drive batch processing for large data volumes.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, Hibernate, and REST API skills, plus the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers. Flexible/remote working is available within a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java applications.
• Use AWS services to build and deploy cloud-based solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, write SQL queries, and improve performance.
• Develop and maintain batch processing systems to handle large volumes of data.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and developers.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and bugs.
• Support junior developers through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
