Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable Java applications. You will leverage AWS services to build cloud-based solutions and optimize relational databases with SQL.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will drive batch processing systems, ensure code quality through reviews and testing, and mentor junior developers to grow capabilities within the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience as a Java Developer in product/services.
• Experience with AWS services and relational databases; SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java applications.
• Use AWS services to deploy cloud-based solutions.
• Design, implement and maintain database schemas and SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain batch processing systems for large data volumes.
• Maintain code quality via reviews and testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and developers.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and bugs.
• Mentor junior developers through knowledge sharing.
