Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable Java applications. You will leverage AWS services and work on database design, performance tuning, and batch processing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful API experience, plus a track record in product development. We offer flexible/remote working and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience as a Java developer in product development or services.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bus).
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java applications.
• Use AWS services to build and deploy cloud-based solutions, ensuring availability and scalability.
• Design, implement, and maintain database schemas; write SQL; optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain batch processing systems for large data volumes.
• Maintain code quality via reviews, testing, and standards adherence.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and developers.
