Job summary

IG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - (Java/AI) Brokerage Services to advance AI-enabled engineering practices within the Brokerage Services team. You will code in Java, build AI-assisted tooling, and own features end-to-end, from design through production support.

We operate in a high-velocity, risk-aware environment with a hybrid model (three days in the office). You’ll contribute to AI-driven coding, testing, and deployment, while ensuring robust observability and security compliance

Qualifications

• Proven production software background with strong Java or similar backend systems.
• Experience with test-driven development and pair programming.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into engineering workflows.
• Strong ownership of features from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal tooling that embeds AI into day-to-day engineering work.
• Improve observability of the AI-assisted pipeline to track performance and issues.
• Identify and automate manual steps in coding, testing, and release processes.
• Deliver small, releasable increments and collaborate with product on domain scope.
• Mentor engineers on effective use of AI tools and maintain security/compliance focus.
