Job summary

Jago Consultants is seeking a Senior IT Technician for a Penryn-based client. The role involves moving customers to Azure, site visits, and hybrid working from office and home to resolve IT issues.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in IT support, strong communication, and experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and security tools. Training and MCP exams are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in an IT support role.
• Knowledge of Azure, Office 365 and Intune.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• Not phased by a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Move customers into an Azure environment and support projects.
• Visit customer sites to resolve issues and support remote work/office and home working.
• Manage and record tech support tasks in ticketing system.
• Provide tech support via remote tools (RMM/PSA).
• Administer Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
• Follow the MCP syllabus and complete at least one MCP exam per year (training funded).

Senior IT Technician required. My client is a large award-winning IT firm based in Penryn, Cornwall. They provide IT Support, Cybersecurity and Cloud Phone Systems for Businesses and Schools throughout Cornwall, Devon and beyond.

They are now seeking a people person that enjoys interacting with customers for this challenging but very rewarding role. If you are a qualified IT engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience supporting Microsoft networks and Microsoft Cloud Solutions, then this may well be the role you are looking for to advance your IT career further.

The role of Senior Engineer involves working on projects to move customers into an Azure environment, visiting our customer site to resolve issues that may have been reported, and working from the office as well as home working.

Position Responsibilities

• Managing and recording tech support tasks in NCI’s Ticketing System


• Communicate to customers the status of their ticket every step of the journey to completion


• Providing tech support and assistance via remote tools (RMM/PSA)


• Tech support of Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Backup Systems, Endpoint Security, Business Applications & Network Infrastructure


• Administration of Windows Server and Microsoft 365


• You will be required to follow the Microsoft MCP Syllabus and complete at-least 1 MCP exam per year. NCI will cover the cost of exams and training materials.

Position Requirements

• Full UK clean driving license


• Knowledge of Azure, Office 365 and Intune


• Switching and Wifi Knowledge


• Minimum 3 years in a IT support role


• Backup Software Knowledge


• Excellent telephone manner


• Networking knowledge (Supporting Firewalls)


• Not phased by a busy environment
