Job summary

SoCode Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage a hybrid IT environment spanning on-premise and cloud services. You will work with infrastructure colleagues, support technicians and stakeholders to keep systems secure, resilient and fit for purpose.

You will act as a senior technical escalation point, mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing improvement of IT services and processes, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune.

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include managing both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services and governance is expected.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide escalation support.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain virtual and physical infrastructure environments.
• Administer server, storage and network systems.
• Configure and manage backup solutions.
• Manage endpoint deployments and device administration.
• Maintain system security, performance and compliance standards.
• Oversee asset management, hardware auditing and software licensing compliance.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage Entra ID and Intune environments.
• Assist with endpoint management and security policy implementation.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents.
• Troubleshoot workstation, hardware and software issues.
• Support business applications and bespoke systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolution of infrastructure issues.
• Diagnose networking, wireless and connectivity problems.
• Review, test and deploy software updates and patches.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement projects.
• Research emerging technologies and best practices.
