Job summary

Miller Solutions Ltd in Chesterfield is seeking a Project & Infrastructure Engineer to join our small team. You will lead IT migration projects, install and upgrade equipment, and bolster security across customer environments, offering senior technical support and team mentorship.

Applicants should have 5+ years in IT, strong AD/Exchange/M365 knowledge, and experience with Hyper-V/VMware. Some travel and occasional out-of-hours work are expected, with a full clean driving licence required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' IT industry experience; MCP desirable.
Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, switches, routers and wireless technologies.
Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, remote access tools, backups and antivirus administration.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
Experience with server migrations, site installations and server networks.
Experience supporting systems such as telephone systems, CCTV, CAD, SQL, ERP and accounting software is desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage and deliver IT migration and refresh projects.
Design and implement new equipment installations.
Maintain and upgrade security systems, including firewalls, antivirus and email security.
Provide senior-level 3rd line technical support and assist 1st and 2nd Line Engineers.
Monitor internal and customer infrastructure, including servers, networking and storage.
Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
