Job summary

SailGP is seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead and optimize our IT strategy across global locations, with a strong focus on Mac-based environments and seamless tech operations for a fast-paced sports enterprise.

You will drive security, policy development, vendor management, and IT budgeting while delivering reliable infrastructure and user support for a multi-site organisation. London/Southampton based, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and equivalent experience.
• Proven IT management experience, preferably in sports/entertainment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong Mac knowledge (80% Mac-based).
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems, networking, security, and infrastructure.
• Project management experience including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in sports/entertainment.
• IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Jamf, Apple, Google Workspace) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with the organisation's goals, providing direction, guidance and support.
• Create and maintain IT policies.
• Oversee management and maintenance of IT infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Ensure availability, reliability and security of all IT systems and equipment.
• Implement and enforce security protocols to protect data.
• Evaluate, select and collaborate with technology vendors and service providers; manage SLAs.
• Develop and manage IT department budget and expenses.
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and timelines.
• Manage technology upgrades and integration with entertainment systems.
• Provide technical end-user support and timely issue resolution.
• Onboarding and offboarding users.
• Process tickets via Freshservice.
