Job summary

St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician to maintain servers, devices and software while leading the helpdesk across its schools. The role reports to the Head of IT and supports ICT strategy and service provision.

Experience in education environments, strong stakeholder communication and Office 365 admin skills are essential. Enhanced DBS and UK right to work are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience ICT problem solving, including high level issues.
• Experience working in an education environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage devices, infrastructure, security and connectivity across the curriculum and admin network.
• Lead the helpdesk, triage tickets and act as escalation point for the IT support team.
• Act as senior technician for every trust school and support ICT strategy.
• Run proactive checks on server infrastructure and asset systems.
• Provide technical problem solving to staff and assist with repairs and warranty claims.
• Install, maintain and upgrade hardware, software, AV equipment and workstation images.
• Manage staff and pupil accounts, network access and passwords, including archiving leavers' materials.
• Support MIS and cashless catering systems with relevant teams.
• Deliver staff training and ICT induction, write manuals, mentor technicians.
