Senior IT Engineer

Location and Working Arrangement

This role is with a telecoms service provider that is experiencing continued growth. The company is well-funded, constantly winning new contracts in both the private and public sectors. It has over 250 employees and offices worldwide, providing connectivity, communication, and managed IT solutions to organizations in maritime, defence, and commercial sectors.

Team and Role Description

You will join a systems management team of three customer-facing engineers, providing hands-on technical support, administration, and management of customer-managed IT. Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to ticket resolution, with the remaining 50% involved in project work, in a fluid environment without fixed schedules.

Candidate Background and Skills

We seek a candidate with a strong Microsoft bias, extensive MSP experience, and a customer-facing background. Key skills include VMware and on-premises virtualization, Windows OS, and Active Directory management. A well-rounded IT skill set including Windows Desktop and Server, networking, Office 365 technologies, WiFi, and data and voice communications is essential.

Location

The office is based in East Surrey. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance.
