Contract - 6 Months Outside IR35 - 5 days in the office

Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our high-profile client.

Our client is a $500 million systematic quant commodity trading fund with excellent recent performance.

The role involves support from desktop to cloud in a trading environment, reporting directly to the CIO and Head of Development. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with trading teams.

The environment is relaxed and open, similar to Facebook or Google, with an open dress code. This role is ideal for tech enthusiasts motivated by cutting-edge technology and the potential for significant earnings.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring seamless operation while setting up a scalable IT platform
• Providing exceptional front-line user support, especially for the trading desk
• Managing incidents effectively
• Coordinating business continuity planning and testing

Infrastructure Engineers MUST have:

• A BSc in computing or a related STEM field
• Experience supporting a trading desk
• Proficiency in Windows
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Experience managing highly available infrastructure, including infrastructure-as-code
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables in a real-time environment
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior and executive stakeholders
• Experience managing external partners
